A scar is an mark that appears on the skin due to various reasons such as trauma, surgical intervention, tattooing, various skin lesions, and so on.
No scar can completely return to its original state with any procedure or medications. However, surgically addressing visible or noticeable scars and using laser therapy in selected cases can bring them to acceptable levels.
The scar tissue resulting from a wound, which manifests as raised, red, and sensitive lesions known as keloids, can be treated by surgically removing them using proper techniques and materials. However, in such cases, there is a high risk of recurrence.
When the recurrence of keloid formation is observed, medical treatments are applied to halt the progression of the keloid.
For the effective treatment of scars to reach an acceptable level, scar treatment should begin as early as possible at the scar treatment clinic in Ankara. The appropriate treatment method (surgical, laser, medical) should be chosen, and scar treatment should be initiated.
Surgical scars resulting from operations can be brought to acceptable limits through the use of medication after the stitches are removed or the wound has fully healed. Surgical incisions are made parallel to the body's natural lines using less traumatic techniques, and appropriate surgical materials are used to close the wound.
Subsequently, medications are used to minimize the potential scarring. Every kind of traumatic or surgical incision on the body heals with a scar. It should not be expected that these types of scars will completely disappear and the skin will return to its original state. The goal is to reduce them to an acceptable and less visible level.
